Denture Fabrication and Dental Implants: Art, Science and Business

Boston, MA •Saturday, April 2, 2016 • 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Dr. Hoos was one of the first General Dentists in the USA to receive the Branemark certification allowing him to surgically place and restore dental implants. He invented the patented H and H impression method, and lectures nationwide, teaching advanced techniques which he has developed over thirty years in private practice. As a general dentist who has placed and restored over 2000 implants, Dr. Hoos offers a unique perspective of how dental implants fit in a general practice.

In this course, a step-by-step process will be discussed for the art of removable prosthetics. Superior denture fabrication can be achieved through careful treatment planning, understanding, and implementation of prosthetic techniques. The use of dental implants will be demonstrated and discussed, along with their role in solving the “denture nightmare” by turning a denture patient into a dental patient. At the end of this course the dentist will have the tools to understand the fabrication of the "best dentures" and the role of dental implants.

The afternoon will include a hands-on workshop with models in order to demonstrate the techniques taught during the morning.
