Basic Principles for Approaching Trauma in the Primary and Permanent Dentitions

Boston, MA •Saturday, October 14, 2017 • 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Dental trauma occurring in preschoolers to adolescents is a significant public health problem. Understanding how to accurately diagnose and treat dental trauma in pediatric patients is the key to producing satisfactory results. In this full-day lecture, Drs. Weisleder and Velasquez will provide participants with guidelines and protocols for ensuring that patients be able to keep their teeth long after trauma. By focusing on procedures that preserve bone structures, Drs. Weisleder and Velasquez will show how dentists can treat trauma in a way that will not inhibit normal childhood and adolescent facial growth. Participants can expect to leave with an increased awareness of the prevalence of dental trauma in this population, as well as an increased knowledge of best practices for treatment!
