Dental Office Design for 'Smarties'

Boston, MA •Saturday, March 24, 2018 • 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Garrett's company slogan, “Profit by Design” speaks to the intent, as well as the result of good design. Like the human anatomy, the skeleton, or core of the office, creates the framework for all other aspects of form and function. During this full-day lecture, Garrett will share his formulas for establishing space needs and performing an essential feasibility study to determine the efficacy of the project. Lease or purchase negotiations, construction contract review, and value-engineering as tools to establish and maintain a budget will also be included.

He will offer a soup-to-nuts look at the mechanics of dental office design, including pre-planning, ergonomic design and development, construction, millwork design, and, most importantly, budget management. This course is invaluable for anyone struggling with where to start and how to successfully develop or expand an office space.

Speaker Information

GARRETT LUDWIG, Dental Office Design Specialist. Garrett has worked in the building trades since his late teens.  During the years that followed, he owned and operated a cabinet manufacturing company; specializing in residential remodeling.  That experience helped to hone his proficiency in the management of associated trade services.  Subsequently, a local dentist, for whom Garrett had performed a renovation, inspired him to focus his design and problem-solving skills on the needs of the dental industry.

Following his participation in a course in Four-Handed Dentistry at Colombia University, Garrett began integrating dental delivery components into his custom, treatment-cabinet designs; thereby optimizing the ergonomic delivery of clinical services.

Garrett was motivated to study architectural design with the encouragement of his clients; thereby completing the loop of comprehensive design and management services. Garrett later joined the Academy of Dental Management Consultants in an effort to refine his comprehension of administrative operations.
