This program is the world-wide accepted standard of minimal laser training for those who use lasers in practice. The curriculum is the Standard Proficiency Course according to the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

The program consists of 4 parts: Didactic, Clinical hands –on experience, a practical clinical examination and the Online Written Examination administered by the Academy of Laser Dentistry* (please see above for more information).

Course Information

*Please note that the ALD has specific criteria and activities that MUST BE completed to receive the Certificate. ALD Certification will be issued as long as the participant has met the following criteria:

  • Has taken a previous course in laser dentistry, or has taken the online laser dentistry course on the ALD Web site (http://www.laserdentistry.org/), or has downloaded and read the laser articles available from the Department of Continuing Education
  • Owns a laser or has access to a laser
  • Takes and passes the Standard Proficiency ALD test that will be offered at the conclusion of this course.

John Graeber, D.M.D., MAGD, MALD, FICD, is a certified Dental Laser Educator and Recognized Standard Course Provider. He has more than 20 years of clinical experience using dental lasers in his comprehensive practice in New Jersey, and has taught thousands of dentists how to use lasers themselves. He holds Masterships in both the AGD and ALD.

Cancellation Policy
The Division of Continuing Education reserves the right to end registration when enrollment limit is reached and to cancel, modify, or alter content or faculty for any course if circumstances indicate the need for such a change. If the school finds it necessary to cancel a course, a full refund will be granted. All attempts to contact registrants will be made as soon as possible in the event of a course cancellation. The school will not be held responsible for any losses due to travel arrangements made by the registrant.

In the event of inclement weather (such as a snow emergency) or other extenuating circumstances, the Division of Continuing Education may be forced to cancel a course. If a course has been cancelled, we will contact participants by the phone number and/or email address provided. You may call or email our office on the day of the course if you are uncertain of a course’s status.

Refunds

Full tuition refund or credit will be given for cancellations received at least two weeks prior to course date. Refunds or tuition credit will not be issued for participant no-shows.

  • Gain a thorough knowledge of all available laser wavelengths and their applications for dentistry
