Dr. Jafine will begin by demonstrating the importance of and how to archieve a proper diagnosis and will walk participants though the evaluation of new and old instruments and techniques available for instrumentation, irrigation, and obturation of the root canal system. Participants will also learn the different potential outcomes from single-versus multiple-visit endodontic treatments, as well as protocols for pain control and the 'when and why' of prescribing antibiotics following endodontics procedures. This course will offer participants an A to Z look at the latest in root canal therapy!

BRIAN JAFINE, B.Sc. D.D.S., D.Endo, graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1980 and went on to receive his post-graduate degree in Endodontics from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1983. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Canadian Academy of Endodontics, the Ontario Society of Endodontists, the George Hare Endodontic Study Club, the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Toronto East Dental Society and the Halton Peel Dental Association.
Dr. Jafine has lectured nationally and internationally on various endodontic topics and maintains a private practice limited to endodontics and microsurgical endodontics in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
He has served the ALD as a mentor, examiner, chairman of many committees, member of the ALD Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Secretary, Treasurer, and is currently Vice-President. He was the General and Scientific Chairman of the ALD conference in 2015 and the Co-Program Chair of the ASLMS conference in 2016, the same year he received his Recognized Course Provider certification.
Karen’s involvement in the dental industry includes membership in the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the American Academy of Dental Hygiene, the American Dental Education Association, the Special Care Dentistry Association and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry. She is a contributing author and co-editor of the textbook “Treating the Dental Patient with a Developmental Disorder” and has written several journal articles.

Refunds
Full tuition refund or credit will be given for cancellations received at least two weeks prior to course date. Refunds or tuition credit will not be issued for participant no-shows.
