Course Information

Morning Session:

The morning session will cover all the basics to help you understand how Crown Lengthening surgery WILL improve your restorative results. You will come away with a clearer understanding of how your surgical colleagues can help you accomplish those improved restorative results. The morning session is appropriate for office staff and very appropriate for Laboratory Technicians to attend in an effort towards team building.

Afternoon Session:

If you are interested in learning to do the procedures, the afternoon workshop session will be hands-on where participants can experience doing a flap and suturing on pig jaws. Also, participants will learn the principles for bone reduction and practice them on anatomically correct models which can be taken home for reference. Two surgical videos are shown to illustrate the surgery.

(Morning lecture session is required to attend the afternoon workshop)

Each section will focus on providing useful and understandable principles that participants can use in their practices immediately whether doing the surgery or referring out to colleagues. It offers you clear ways to improve your restorative results and know that you are current in your approaches to treatment planning. Both sessions will discuss ways to establish a clear line of communication with your laboratory technicians.
